He will be turning 40 years old on July 24 and I am throwing him a Maze 40th birthday party. One of his gifts will be me joining him in your fan club. Is there anything that you can do like send a video clip wishing him a happy birthday from his favorite artist in the world? This would really make him a really great 40th birthday. When we were married in March of 2002 we danced to Happiness for our first dance. I had not heard of that song until he suggested it. It is almost time for all the major summer music festivals and I've gotta get my MAZE groove on somewhere....If MAZE don't come to me, I am coming to MAZE:-) Dear Cynt, you know a family reunion is not a family reunion without some Frankie Beverly & MAZE. We were delighted to have you and Charles with us. You are family! As I reflect, I realize it would not have been possible if it were not for our mutual love and admiration for Mr. Beverly. Through God, Frankie has been instrumental in connecting and extending families for a very long time through the music of MAZE. WHAT A BAND! Life cannot exist without Joy & Pain. When I relfect back over the past 54 years of my life, I become "mushy" as well:-) and, very emotional. I can see that without my family and extended family, there would be no loves, no sorrows, no joys and no pains, therefore no life. Comments: Frankie, words can't describe how I feel about you. My whole family knows that I'm the best fan you will ever have. One time when I was home in North Carolina and one of your videos came on my grandmother said, Garry, here is that guy you like so much, he is singing on t.v. I write a lot of poetry and when I hear a song I'm listening to the lyrics instead of the beat, even though all of your beats are nice, I never known you to write anything negative, it is always positive. When I got married 17 years ago, I told the organist when I come out with the pastor start playing " Joy and Pain". I listen to you everyday as a matter of fact I'm listening to you now. My friends are fans to because I play your music so much. One of my friends said, Garry, why you like this man so much, I said listen to his lyrics and get back with me later. When my friend came back a couple of days later, I said, what do you think? He said you and Frankie look alike when you are styling your beard. He went on to say both of you speak about love and social issues. The more I listen to your music, the more I'm inspired to do what I do and that is to help whomever I can. Frankie, it has been an honor and a pleasure signing your guest book. I have every last one of your albulms. Comments: Mr. Beverly: You are truly a rare find as an artist. I had the pleasure of meeting you at Rev. Jeremiah Wright's anniversary celebration. I am one of his Administrative Assistants. You were so warm and friendly. For an artist like you, that travels all over the world and to take the time out to fellowship with your fans is truly a rare find. Thank you for your dedication and thank you for the music. I have a 15 year old son who is mentally retarted, who absolutely loves your musich. Your music is constantly playing in my home. The next time you come to Chicago, (June 29th)my son will be with me.
