Comments: I'm a bit excited about Beyonce's cover of "Before I Let Go." I'm keeping track of social media and I hear some people say she can't sing it like Frankie....Now, we all know that no one can sing any of Frankie's songs better than he.....But this thing is not about competition. I think Beyonce' has opened up a GOOD can of worms and I'm loving it. You've got the 37 year old Beyonce and the 72 year old Frankie Beverly being discussed in the sme sentence and the younger generation is really getting to know Franke Beverly. I appreciate the respect and the meaning behind why she used the song....It fits with her "Homecoming" theme and we all know that" Before I Let Go" has been played at many of the HBCU"s homecomings...It's like our very own National Athem and God knows when we hear it at a barbecue or a party....the party begins.....She honored that......And, that's why I appreciate her so much. By the way, have you seen the line dance challenge that is breaking out over the internet? Lawd, have mercy, I need to get to stepping! This thing is" blowing up" and I'm just so ecstatic. Comments: Hello Iconic Mr. Beverly, Hope all is Great, and I'm commenting on Beyonce's cover of "Before I Let Go" which Will Always be the Genius of Frankie Beverly & Maze. I appreciate young artists covering Classic Real Music, however, I feel she should've gotten permission from Mr. Beverly First! Plus, I know he Should be getting Royalty Checks deposited in Maze account for sure!! She may be Queen Bey, but Every Artist Has to Respect the Original Artist and their creative writing, arrangements, and so on. It's new school jamming, but No Version will Ever compare to Maze ft.
