I wanted to mention to you before our conversation was cut short, that I would often see you dear friend, Marvin Gaye in Amsterdam 1982. I was living there at the time. Comments: Dear Mr. Beverly, this is William Davis “young promtoer” from Tampa Fl. New Orleans, Jacksonville, Columbia SC, Charleston sc, Augusta ga, and Chattanooga, Concerts. I came into this business destine to do great business. But from day one I was met with “UGLINESS” I have been used, tricked, and extorted. Thinking I was getting good advice. From Jerome to Joe to Shawn; I’m only 26 years old, with not a lot of money. And I lost all my money, trusting their expertise. It was my dream to be able to book my grandmother hero, now it’s my night mare. I’m a man, and I take my losses like one. But I was bullied and extorted out of my money. Example: I was giving a contract. To do a show. October 26th in Nashville, after sending my money. I got a phone call, e-mail saying I can no longer play the date. Because it was joe Douglas date. I lost $10,000 and no one seem to care. Another Example, Shawn will wait until the show became successful and demand more money for the sound or threat that you would not show up. I was threatening to pay more money for New Orleans or Joe will take over the show, and take my money. I was scared to speak out, because my money was in jeopardy.
