Hello My Sisters and brothers,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits.
We have been involved in some pretty exciting stuff lately. Among these was a very special night in Dallas, TX. where we did the first of two live recordings slated for this year. The second will be in Los Angeles, Ca. on Sept 5 and 6. I made some reference to this in a previous web letter a couple months ago. For those of you who may not be aware of what I'm referring too, here's the deal.
Our plan is for the next album to be a double pocket suite, sort of like the other live sets we've done in the past. Both "Live In New Orleans and Live In LA" had a studio set with new recordings and a live set. Record companies are very skeptical about live recordings because if the performance doesn't come off, it becomes a waist of time and money. Unfortunately you can't fix a live performance. You can only fix certain aspects of it. A great performance is simply a great performance and nothing can take the place of that. Think about it. Of all the live recording's you've heard, how many are memorable to you? This is the reason why we're doing this in a few cities.
My first impression of the Dallas show leaves me feeling really good about it. I say it this way because one never knows for sure until one hears it in its entirety. The crowd was absolutely unbelievable, the venue (The Nokia Arena) was perfect and the spirit was quite overwhelming. Make no mistake about it, this was good stuff ya'll. I can't thank the people of Dallas enough for their love and support. They blessed us with a magnificent night to remember for all time.
I also want to take the time to acknowledge some of the other great cities we've been to lately. Miami, Fl. where the people helped us tear the roof off the sucker:-). Cincinnati had some great music on their festival this year. I thought we were especially sharp on our night. Macon, Ga. where we pitched a Wang dang doodle and Jacksonville, Fl. whose sophistication made the band rise to an even higher level of play. Thank you all for sharing your sweet musical expression with us.
Okay guys, I guess that's about it for now. We'll be coolin out for a couple of weeks after Las Vegas, but check the tour page for future dates. The beat goes on so keep an eye out for us. We love you guys.
Peace,
Frankie B
"Be Thankful"
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
Because it means you’ve made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment
comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be
thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.
